Refined oils
On the rapidly expanding foodstuff oils market, refined oils offer a very wide range of use both for cooking as well as seasoning!
The wide variety of oleaginous products offers an effective means of enriching the range with ever more attractive products in terms of taste and health benefits.
Filling process
Refined oils have certain properties which must be taken into consideration during filling, in particular:
- Variation of viscosity due to temperature
- Variation of container weight and impact on filling
- Container quality
- The packaging material (PET, PEHD, or Metal)
These containers may either be filled with neck-transfer filling machines for PET containers, or with base-transfer filling machines.
Production process
- Heating to a high temperatures during pressing
- Chemical treatment of oilcake to extract the residual oil
- Refining: demucilaging, neutralisation, deodorising, decolouring
The refined oils most commonly used are sunflower oil, sweet corn, soya and colza.
